Eric and Rosemary Barrett visited our school.

Ont he 24th of October, 2013 we had foreign guests in our institution. Eric Barrett, a professor of famous Amercan, British, Australian universities, gave us a lecture. He talked to our students about why he had said no to the question of NASA concerning whether to be an astrounaut and to be launched to space. In his speech all of our learners, even from the other part of school attended with great enthusiasm. He also told us his beleifs in Jesus Christ and all the consequences he created in his life. After the lecture the staff had the opportunity to have an interactive chat with our dear guests. Eric also told us about all the challenge in UK in education, mainly with immigrants’ children. We discovered many similarities with our colleagues in Great Britain including difficulties during our teaching practice. He advised for us to set less rules for students, but to hold steady on to these few. He also emhasized the importance to believe in Jesus Christ and power of praying God. During the session we had the chance to ask frankly those questions we usually do and share all our thoughts. In my opinion it was great to have a wider view on education in western countries, to see all of its characteristics and think globally about things that have an importance in teaching. I believe we should have more facilities to be able to talk and learn from one an other.
